Pope Francis: Terrorism Cannot Justify Terrorism

Pope Francis, while calling Hamas and Israel terrorist organizations, stated: Terrorism cannot justify terrorism.
According to “Religion Media Center,” the leader of Catholics worldwide, Pope Francis condemned the actions of Israel and Hamas in Gaza.
Pope Francis stated last week in his remarks that the Gaza crisis has gone beyond war and has turned into terrorist acts, and terrorism cannot justify terrorism.
During a meeting with families of hostages and Gaza prisoners, Pope Francis made statements, following which one family member claimed that the Pope used the term “genocide” to describe events in Gaza, but the Vatican denied the Pope’s use of this term.
Austin Ivory, in an interview with BBC regarding the Pope’s meeting with hostage families and his statements, said: “The Pope’s remarks were carefully expressed and he believes that Israeli attacks in Gaza are no different from terrorist acts. The Pope calls for an immediate end to the war in Gaza. Pope Francis used the correct terminology in his statements.”
