Year 1402 Handover Differs from Previous Years in Iran

The beginning of year 1402 in Iran unfolded differently from previous years, accompanied by a surge in a popular revolutionary uprising.
Iran’s popular revolutionary surge gained renewed momentum moments after the transition to year 1402, as people took to the streets in protest against the Islamic Republic regime, beginning the new year in an unprecedented manner.
On the morning of Tuesday, corresponding to 1 Farvardin 1402, following the new year’s arrival, Iranians across cities throughout the country took to the streets, continuing their protests and revolution with chants of “Woman, Life, Freedom” and slogans against the Islamic Republic regime.
This national revolution has spread to all cities and villages, with everyone chanting unified slogans for Iran’s victory.
Videos published on social media pages reflect the unity and solidarity of people in the call following the new year’s transition. In Hamadan’s Asadabad county, in the village of “Chenarshikh,” people demonstrated their protest against the regime after the year’s transition with chants of “Freedom, Freedom” and slogans against the dictatorial regime such as “This year is our turn, Seyyed Ali will be toppled.”
Similarly, in “Balbalanabad” (Bolwanawa), a region under Dehgolan, people were conducting Nowruz ceremonies with revolutionary chants when government suppression forces opened fire on them. It should be noted that several citizens were wounded in these shootings.
Kurdish people continue to be present on the scene of revolution with great strength and courage, as in the past. In the “Karmandan” neighborhood of Mahabad, honorable Kurdish people took to the streets after the new year’s transition and chanted “Woman, Life, Freedom” in Kurdish. Security forces, always ready on the scene, also opened fire on Mahabad’s people, wounding some Kurdish citizens.
In various areas of Tehran as well, from north to south and east to west, many people took to the streets after the new year’s transition and chanted protest slogans. Many of them also raised their voices of protest from the windows of their homes.
Given the crumbling of the regime’s suppression forces, the tireless determination of Iran’s revolutionary people, and their unity and solidarity, victory and freedom for the land of Iran is drawing very, very near.
