Suspicious Death of Mansourah Sagvand Following Termination of Cooperation with Law Enforcement

“Mansourah Sagvand” died under suspicious circumstances yesterday, Sunday, after ending her cooperation with the law enforcement forces.
Mansourah Sagvand, a former honorary member of the law enforcement forces in Khorramabad, a native of Lorestan and a law student residing in Abdanan, withdrew from her cooperation with the law enforcement forces following the beginning of the 1401 protests. According to IRNA, Saidnoor Alimuradi, head of the pre-hospital emergency department at Ilam University of Medical Sciences, confirmed Mansourah Sagvand’s death on Sunday evening (14 Khordad) and declared the cause of death as cardiac and respiratory arrest.
According to Alimuradi, emergency personnel were dispatched at noon on Sunday following a telephone report regarding the patient in question with very low level of consciousness, and they took possession of Mansourah Sagvand’s body, which had suffered cardiac and respiratory arrest and cyanosis. They initiated resuscitation efforts at the scene of the incident and then continued these operations in the ambulance until reaching the hospital. Iraj Safari, head of “Rasoul Akram” Hospital in Abdanan, further stated: “At 3 PM, an 18-year-old patient named Mansourah Sagvand with complete cardiac and respiratory arrest was transferred to the emergency department of Rasoul Akram Hospital in Abdanan by the emergency medical unit, but the patient in question had no vital signs. Resuscitation procedures were immediately initiated by hospital emergency personnel, and after one hour of effort, unfortunately the medical interventions proved unsuccessful, and at 4:10 PM, by order of the emergency physician, the medical procedures were stopped and Mansourah Sagvand’s death was announced.”
“Issa Baziar,” a civil activist from Abdanan and resident abroad, also wrote on his Twitter page: “Mansourah Sagvand, a former law enforcement officer from Khorramabad and a law student at Azad University in Abdanan, died with signs of cardiac arrest following her release from detention, without any underlying medical conditions.”
It should be noted that Mansourah Sagvand, who was previously a member of the law enforcement forces, ended her cooperation with the law enforcement during the “Woman, Life, Freedom” protests and repeatedly supported the protests, and the reason for her detention was also her support for and participation in the protests.
Before her death, Mansourah Sagvand posted an image of herself on her Instagram account wearing the official uniform of female officers working in the law enforcement forces and wrote: “I am Mansourah Sagvand from Lorestan, and I have been working as an honorary police officer in Khorramabad’s law enforcement forces. From now on, I will have no cooperation with the armed forces and will proudly stand alongside my fellow citizens.”
Judicial and security authorities in Ilam have so far released no explanation regarding the suspicious death of this young student who was a former associate of Ilam’s law enforcement command.
In the past, numerous system officials have resigned from their posts following the start of the protests and stood with the people, who were then arrested due to their support for popular protests, and there has been no information about their place of detention and their conditions, and after some time, they have also died under suspicious circumstances.
