You are Blind, We Eat Dirt but We Won’t Give Away Land

“Alireza Mostoufi” in response to “Sajad Padam’s” remarks regarding the sale of Iranian islands said you are blind, we eat dirt but we won’t give away land.

Over the past two days, coinciding with the protests of social security retirees on the occasion of Workers’ Day, Sajad Padam, director general of social insurance at the Ministry of Labor, announced in an interview that we sacrificed three hundred thousand martyrs so that we would not lose one inch of Iranian soil, but it is possible we may reach a point where we are forced to sell Kish, Qeshm and Khuzestan. An experience that Greece has also had and sold its islands.”

A more complete video of his remarks can be viewed below.

Sajad Padam’s remarks provoked many reactions. “Alireza Mostoufi,” a journalist, by publishing an article on this matter said: “Some incompetent people who thought governing the country would be as easy as climbing an embassy, and told us about 40 billion dollar contracts and the sale of 1.4 million barrels of oil daily, today have gotten stuck in the mud and to solve problems are talking about selling Iranian islands, and in response to criticism they say Greece also sold its islands; because preserving the system is more necessary than preserving land.

We must remember that traitors are our enemies, and if we retreat one step, the enemy advances a hundred steps, and one day we will come to ourselves and see that the enemy has even entered our home. All Iranian soil is a red line, if you have promised your masters, know that we eat dirt but we will not give away land, and on this very soil we will bury anyone who has eyes on the integrity of our territory.”

“Mohammad Fazeli,” a sociologist, also published a tweet on this matter and said: “Even speaking of selling the homeland islands of Kish and Qeshm deserves rebuke and appropriate punishment. But the truth hidden in this erroneous statement is that if you don’t use the homeland’s capital well with good governance, and with bad governance you bring financial and economic instability, and you don’t correct it properly, your mind will certainly turn to thoughts of selling the homeland.”

A regime that wants to pay the delayed wages of its retirees by selling islands and homeland soil indicates that the economic backbone of the regime and its agents is broken and they lack the ability to govern, and the result will be the collapse of the system.
