Silence is a Great Betrayal, Take to the Streets

The people of Iran have organized a call for today, Tuesday, December 29th, coinciding with the “Iran – USA” football match, declaring that silence is a great betrayal, and calling people to take to the streets.

The patriotic people of Iran have published messages on social media calling for people to take to the streets during the football match and not to fall for the government of the Islamic Republic’s deceptive calm before the storm. The essence of the messages that Iran’s awakened people have declared on their personal Instagram and Twitter pages is as follows:
“People of Iran! In the face of all this oppression by the Islamic Republic, silence is a great betrayal. We all know that after the UN Human Rights Council’s negative vote against the Islamic Republic and the formation of a fact-finding committee, this regime is in very difficult circumstances. On the one hand, it cannot continue massacring protesters as it did in the past, because it knows that the eyes of the entire world are watching events in Iran much more carefully, and on the other hand, it cannot remain indifferent to people’s protests, because violence is inherently the best way it knows.”
So it has chosen another path to deceive domestic and global public opinion. If you look with open eyes, you will notice that suppression units have become calmer, some famous prisoners like Hossein Ronaghi have been released. According to Ali Karimi, a young person stands up in the middle of Raisi’s speech and chants a protest slogan, and it is surprising that they do nothing to him. All these reactions are initially to deceive the fact-finding committee and then, if possible, to calm the atmosphere of people’s protests.
So what is the solution against this deception?
First, believe that all of this is to deceive people and the whole world. Second, know that now is actually the best time (we emphasize the best time) to pursue street protests and nationwide strikes. The football match that will be held today (Tuesday, December 29th) is a very appropriate time to neutralize their two deceptions: the misuse of football and the apparent softness they have shown these days because of the fact-finding committee.
Why should people wait for this match to end and then take to the streets? In fact, during the time this match is being held, people should make the streets their own so that regardless of any result in this match, we can claim victory on this important day.
Throughout this period of nationwide protests that has lasted more than two months, Iran has killed approximately 400 people, many of them children. More than 15,000 people have been arrested, and given the criminal nature we know from the forces of the Islamic Republic’s regime, we know they are in the worst conditions.
Noble people of Iran, we want you to know that until now, with all the suffering you have endured and with all this innocent blood spilled on the ground, we have been victorious. Believe this and do not allow the wicked to turn their defeat into victory through deception. These days are days that determine fate, and we must be very careful. Let us not forget the heavy price many of our dear ones paid for bringing this revolution to this point.
“Let us not forget Mahsa Amini, Sarina Esmaeilzadeh, Nika Shakarami, Mona Naghibi, Hasti Narayee, Kian Pirfalak, and the rest of the martyrs.”
