Sanandaj People Set Fire to IRGC Bases

The people of Sanandaj, in response to the cowardly killing of “Behzad Azizi” by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) forces, set fire to IRGC bases.

“Behzad Azizi”, a 19-year-old from Sanandaj, was shot by IRGC forces at the Karim Abad checkpoint on the evening of Wednesday, April 21, 2023, while returning to the village of “Dareh Sheikhan”, his birthplace.

According to the human rights organization “Hengaw”, this is the first killing of the current year in Kurdistan. Behzad Azizi was shot in the head and face with live ammunition and died after being transferred to the hospital.

According to the people of Sanandaj, Behzad was a young merchant who was cowardly killed by the terrorist IRGC forces. In protest and retaliation against the regime and those responsible, they set fire to several bases belonging to the IRGC.

The people of Kurdish cities have always been targeted for abuse and massacre by the regime, but they have never stopped protesting for freedom and continue to unite on the streets. The people of Kurdistan declared that they will not forgive the blood of their brothers and sisters and will stand firm until they obtain their blood rights and achieve freedom.
