Missing Persons in Protests

Many citizens have been arrested and subsequently gone missing during nationwide protests following beatings by government officials, with no information available about their condition or whereabouts.
Some families have also not reported the disappearance of their relatives to the media due to threats from security forces.
Meanwhile, 31-year-old Marjan Jangju from Golestan neighborhood in Shiraz was arrested after being beaten by security officials near the Qalat area of Shiraz, and there has been no news of her condition so far. Marjan’s friends say: “Please be the voice of Marjan. He has been abducted for more than ten days. He has no parents and reportedly his siblings have been threatened not to report this matter to the media.”
Donya Fahadi, a 22-year-old architecture student at Azad University of Ahvaz, went missing on Ahvaz Cable Bridge following protests in the city, and her lifeless body was found downstream of the Karun River after 8 days of disappearance by residents of Mozaffariyeh village.
Dr. Aida Rostami, who along with other colleagues visited the homes of the wounded in the protests and treated them, was reported missing for several days when Ekbatan police station contacted her family and announced that Aida had an accident and died. However, when her family saw her lifeless body, they reported that one side of her face was crushed, her hand was broken, and her left eye had been removed.
In the city of Sanandaj, which hosted a protest gathering on Thursday against the execution of recent protesters at Sanandaj Girls Technical College, after these protests, security forces abducted five students from this college on the street without presenting an arrest warrant. It is worth noting that the names of these students are “Bita Visi”, “Tina Khodoori”, “Sana Khodamiradi”, “Rezvan Bazani-Ghate”, and “Hanieh Chahardoli”.
Unfortunately, the abduction of individuals ranging from children to middle-aged people in Iran’s protests continues. Citizens who are either abducted or whose lifeless bodies are found severely injured with signs of beatings on their bodies, or there is no information available about their condition and whereabouts.
