Nationwide Strikes and Protests Today, Tuesday, November 15

Today, Tuesday, November 15, Iran witnessed nationwide strikes and protests across the country.

Following a call issued in recent days by the Iranian people to commemorate the anniversary of November 2019, today in most cities, especially Tehran, people took to the streets. Tehran’s bazaar merchants, who form the economic backbone of Tehran, went on strike, closed their shops today, and came to the streets in protest. These protests will continue for 4 days.

In addition to Tehran’s Grand Bazaar, Alauddin’s large mobile arcade in Tehran, Tehran’s large iron market, and all merchants on Republic Street also struck and came to the streets.

Furthermore, across Tehran, students from Tehran West University on Fahrazadi Street with chants of “Death to this regime,” students from the University of Science and Culture, Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran, Tehran Technical College, Sharif University students, Islamic Azad University in Khomeini Shahr, Amirkabir University, Tarbiat Modares University with chants of “Poverty, corruption, inflation – we will march until the regime falls,” Electrical and Computer Engineering University in Seyyed Khandan with the chant “This is the last message – if you execute us, we will rise up,” and Khajeh Nasir University came to the streets.

It should be noted that the situation of Amirkabir and Sharif University students is very dire and in dangerous conditions. Students from these universities have requested help from the people.

The goldsmiths’ market in the city of Tabriz was also closed by merchants, and they all came to the streets in protest.

In Isfahan, merchants from the large City Center, as well as Isfahan Steel Company, also joined the strikes and protests.

The streets of Marvdasht, Afifabad, and Zand Street in Shiraz also witnessed crowds today. All merchants went on strike and closed their shops.

The large glassware market in Lahijan also joined the strikes and protests.

In Bushehr, people took to the streets by burning Khamenei’s banners in protest.

Shahr-e Qods in Tehran also witnessed widespread public protests today. A major uprising has begun in Gohardasht, Karaj, and its people announced: please come from Qolamsdasht and Shahr-e Qods to Karaj and unite with us so they cannot kill the people.

In Esfarayen, Khorasan, all people joined the protests. Also, doctors in Mashhad came to the streets demanding the release of detained physicians.

Izeh is also among the cities that have joined the protests.

According to reports from the people, the internet in some areas of Iran is being cut off or has been completely cut. Internet cuts mean a nationwide call and presence in the streets. However, people have announced that if the internet is cut off, we will show no mercy to the telecommunications offices.

Protests continue in various cities across Iran.
