Driver Killed in Landslide at Jughta Chromite Mine

Hrana News Agency – On Monday, the 24th of Mordad, a worker lost his life as a result of a landslide at a chromite mine in the village of “Goft” in Jughta County, Razavi Khorasan Province.
According to Hrana News Agency, citing Tabnak, on Monday, the 24th of Mordad 1401, a driver lost his life as a result of a landslide at the chromite mine.
Based on this report, the head of the Red Crescent Society of Jughta County stated: Upon receiving a report of a landslide at the chrome mine in the village of “Goft” and the entrapment of one person under the rubble, an operational team was immediately dispatched to the scene. Following a field inspection, it was determined that a bulldozer operating at the mine was buried as a result of the landslide, and its driver lost his life due to the severity of his injuries.
Abolfazl Rafiee further stated: The necessary measures were taken to free him through the efforts of rescuers and workers present at the site, and his body was pulled out from under the rubble.
