Nahid Shirpisheh Arrested

Hrana News Agency – Nahid Shirpisheh, mother of Pouya Bakhtiari, one of the victims of the November 2019 protests, was arrested today, Monday, July 11, 2022, by security forces and transferred to an unknown location.
According to Hrana News Agency, the news outlet of the Iranian Human Rights Activists Association, today Monday, July 11, 2022, Nahid Shirpisheh, mother of Pouya Bakhtiari, one of the victims of the November 2019 protests, was arrested by security forces.
Pouya Bakhtiari’s sister posted a video on her personal social media account reporting the violent actions of security forces during the arrest of Ms. Shirpisheh.
As of the time of this report, there is no information available regarding the reasons for the arrest, the charges brought against her, or the location where this citizen is being held.
Ms. Shirpisheh had previously been arrested by security agencies due to her civil activities.
Monoochehr Bakhtiari, Pouya Bakhtiari’s father, is currently serving his sentence in Karaj Central Prison.
