Islamic Republic Officials Frantically Transferring Their Money Out of Iran

Officials affiliated with the Islamic Republic, frightened, are transferring their money out of Iran in preparation for the zero hour escape.
According to the latest reports received from money changers in Tehran and the United Arab Emirates (Dubai), Maryam Imaniyeh, wife of Javad Zarif – former Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic – has transferred a sum equivalent to 3 million and 700 thousand dollars through private money changers in Tehran and Dubai to a Yuan account (Chinese currency unit) at ABC Bank China in Shanghai between October 17-20. This amount has been reported as 4 million euros in other media outlets.
This sum in rials was transferred from several different branches of Pasargad Bank in Tehran from Maryam Imaniyeh’s account to the designated accounts of Dubai money changers in Tehran.
However, Mohammad Javad Zarif has denied the above news and declared: The amount of 4 million euros is nothing but a rumor and a lie. Some people have falsely attributed a building to my name, and others claim that I have transferred money out of the country.
This news was published at a time when Mohammad Javad Zarif is unable to transfer funds abroad due to sanctions imposed by the U.S. Treasury Department, and his name is subject to American banking sanctions. Given that Mohammad Javad Zarif’s children have American residency, why has Mr. Zarif chosen communist China as his destination to flee Iran?
In response to the above question, some believe that China will become the world’s superpower and power will shift from West to East. Others say: America and Canada, under pressure from freedom advocates in their countries, will be forced to deal with them; however, the Chinese government is in collusion with Iran and they are in the same boat, and the Chinese people have no will or say in such state matters. For this reason, Mohammad Javad Zarif took such action before his escape from Iran.
