Domestic Violence; Woman Killed by Her Husband in Arak

Hrana News Agency – A 41-year-old woman in Arak was killed by her husband with knife wounds following family disputes. The suspect was arrested and after case formation was referred to judicial authorities.

According to Hrana news agency citing IRNA, a 41-year-old woman in Arak was killed by her husband.

The head of the Intelligence Police of Central Province said about this: “Following the discovery of the body of a woman approximately 41 years old on 26 Mordad of the current year inside her residential home in Arak city, investigation of the matter was placed on the agenda of the Intelligence Police of Central Province. In preliminary investigations, it became clear from the crime scene that a woman approximately 41 years old was killed by knife wounds, whereupon specialized police investigations immediately began to identify the killer and the motive for the murder.”

Kamiar Chahri emphasized: “In the very first moments of the start of police investigations when the matter of family dispute and conflict between the victim and her husband was raised by those around them, efforts to arrest the victim’s husband were immediately initiated.”

Referring to the identification of the suspect in one of the neighboring provinces, he stated: “In an operation by Intelligence Police officers of Central Province, the suspect was arrested and transferred to Arak. During police interrogations, the suspect confessed to killing his wife due to family disputes, and after case formation was referred to the judicial authority.”
