Suicide of Two Teenagers Aged 14 and 15 in Dahdashت District

Hrana News Agency – Two teenage boys aged 14 and 15, residents of Dahdashт district, committed suicide by hanging themselves in the forests surrounding the district on Tuesday, the 28th of Tir.

According to a report by Hrana News Agency, the news organ of the Human Rights Activists collective in Iran, on Tuesday, the 28th of Tir 1401, two teenage boys aged 14 and 15 in Dahdashт district committed suicide.

The identities of these teenagers have been confirmed by Hrana as Amir Reza Mohsennia and Farshid Javadi Mehr.

An informed source told Hrana: “These two teenagers, who are related to each other by blood, committed suicide by hanging themselves in forests located 5 kilometers from Dahdashт city. Their bodies were transferred to the city’s morgue by Dahdashт Emergency Services at 11 p.m. last night”.

The informed source added: “Three months ago, in the same family, a 14-year-old girl committed suicide because her father could not afford to buy her a mobile phone.”

The share of Iranian teenagers in annual suicides has been reported by the Legal Medicine Organization to exceed 7 percent.
