An Earthquake of Magnitude 5.2 Shakes Quchan

An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale shook Quchan in Razavi Khorasan Province on the morning of Monday, September 22.
According to the announcement by the National Earthquake and Seismology Organization of Iran, this earthquake occurred at 8:32:30 local time at a depth of 6 kilometers below the surface.
The earthquake was strong enough to be felt by residents of Mashhad, Nishapur, Dargaz, and Bojnord.
No reports of casualties or financial damages from this earthquake have been released so far, but according to Mehr News Agency, minor damage has been caused to old and rural houses in the city, and ten assessment teams have been activated in the earthquake-affected areas of Quchan and Dargaz.
Quchan is one of the cities in Razavi Khorasan Province and is located 120 kilometers northwest of Mashhad.
