Fox News: New Satellite Images of Iran’s Nuclear Facilities Increase Concerns

Fox News television network reported that it has obtained satellite images from the Sanjarian site in Iran showing “suspicious” developments at the facility. The Sanjarian site was previously suspected of producing and manufacturing “shock wave generators” that would allow nuclear weapons to be built in smaller dimensions.
The report, published Tuesday evening on June 8, states that new satellite images from Maxar company show that 18 vehicles were active at this site on October 15, 2020. Activities at the site gradually increased and a new access road was constructed, but in March 2021, all traces of it were covered up.
The report says that according to reviews by two intelligence agencies, what is now visible in the satellite images consists of excavation channels and new channels.
The Sanjarian site is located 40 kilometers from Tehran and has a population of approximately 361 tons. This site was identified and introduced during the disclosure of Iran’s nuclear information by Mossad in 2018.
Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, in his latest report to the Board of Governors stated that IAEA inspectors have identified four locations in Iran where traces of nuclear materials have been found, and Iran had not previously reported these sites to the Agency. According to him, in the past three months Iran provided no information about one of the sites, ignored questions about two other sites, and the response provided regarding the fourth site lacks credibility. He said this contradicts the claim of cooperation that Ali Akbar Salehi, head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization, made in his letter.
Iran says it has no intention of producing nuclear weapons. However, many other countries, particularly Israel, are concerned about Iran’s nuclear activities.
