Suicide of a 14-Year-Old Teenager in Mashhad

On Tuesday, the 25th of Azar, a 14-year-old teenager in Mashhad committed suicide by jumping from a commercial building, ending his life. According to the Medical Examiner’s Organization, Iranian teenagers account for more than 7 percent of annual suicides.
According to Hrana news agency, citing Rena, on Tuesday, the 25th of Azar 99, a 14-year-old teenager in Mashhad committed suicide by jumping from the height of a building, ending his life.
Based on this report, in a released video, an individual is seen removing his jacket and jumping from the top of a tower to the ground, ending his life.
Meanwhile, obtained information indicates that this teenager was 14 years old who, after his parents separated, lived with his grandmother. For unknown reasons, he threw himself from the roof of a commercial center and committed suicide.
This incident occurred two nights earlier on the sidelines of Janbaz Boulevard in Mashhad when citizens, upon witnessing the teenager fall from the commercial center tower, reported the matter to police.
Minutes later, with the presence of investigation forces from Abkuh Police Station, preliminary investigations began at the scene, and the body of this teenager was transferred to the Medical Examiner’s Office by order of Judge Ahmadinezhad, the special judge for intentional homicide, to determine the exact cause of death.
The teenager’s grandmother said in this regard: The parents of my grandchild divorced several years ago and he lived with me, but he was a very calm and quiet teenager. I don’t know why this tragic incident occurred. Further investigations regarding the motivation for this teenager’s suicide continue under judicial order and under the guidance of Colonel Mohammadi by investigation forces.
