At Least ‘Three People’ Killed as Floods Strike Southern Iranian Provinces

The spokesman of Iran’s Emergency Organization announced the deaths of three people and the injury of three others as a result of flooding in the southern provinces of the country.
Mojtaba Khaledi said that a 32-year-old woman and a five-year-old girl in Bandar Abbas and a 58-year-old man in Larestan lost their lives after their vehicles were trapped in the path of the flood.
According to Khaledi, it is also suspected that one person may have gone missing in Bandar Kangaon during the flooding.
During the month of Esfand, some Iranian provinces, including Lorestan, also experienced flooding. In Farvardin of last year, flooding in a number of Iranian provinces left at least 77 dead.
