Death of 17-Year-Old Porter and Disappearance of His 14-Year-Old Brother

Reports indicate that Azad Khosrawi, a 17-year-old porter in the Sardasht region of Kurdistan, has died, and his 14-year-old brother Farhad Khosrawi is missing.

Mojtaba Khaldi, spokesperson for the Emergency Organization, announced that a 17-year-old porter died in Sardasht, Kurdistan, and a 14-year-old porter is missing.

According to Mr. Khaldi, on Tuesday in Sardasht, Kurdistan, in the Jalane Pass area, three young porters suffered severe frostbite. Farhad Khosrawi, 17, died from extreme cold and blizzard conditions.

He stated that a 14-year-old porter is also missing.

Meanwhile, the Kurdistan Human Rights Network reported that Azad Khosrawi and his brother Farhad Khosrawi were residents of the village of “Ni” in Marivan city.

Based on statistics compiled by the Kurdistan Human Rights Network, from the beginning of Azar month to date, six porters and traders have been killed by gunfire from Islamic Republic military forces in the border areas of Kurdistan, Iran, and 55 others have been wounded.
