Land Prices Surge 132% and Housing Prices Rise 80% in Iran

The latest report from the Statistical Center indicates that the selling price of one square meter of land or residential building foundation in Tehran increased by 131.7% during this summer compared to the same period last year.
Housing prices also increased by 80.1% during the same period, and the average rental amount plus a three percent deposit paid for renting one square meter of residential floor space increased by 31.2%.
According to this report, which was published on Saturday, November 15, on the Statistical Center’s website, the selling price of one square meter of land or residential building foundation land reached over 18.6 million tomans in the current summer, and the price of each square meter of housing reached approximately 13.7 million tomans.
Meanwhile, the number of land and residential building foundation transactions decreased by more than 55%, and the number of housing transactions decreased by more than 70% compared to the same period last year.
The average rental amount plus three percent deposit paid for renting one square meter of residential floor space with an average area of 82 square meters and average building age of 14 years was also reported at approximately 43,500 tomans in this report.
