Death Toll from Floods in Iran Rises to 39

Heavy rainfall and flooding in various regions of Iran, which began in the last days of Esfand, have claimed 39 lives so far.
As confirmed by the deputy crisis management director at Iran’s Legal Medicine Organization, the second wave of rainfall and flooding across various Iranian provinces has claimed 30 lives, while the first wave of flooding in northern and northeastern Iranian provinces had previously been reported to have caused 9 deaths.
Based on a list released by the Legal Medicine Organization on Wednesday evening to news agencies, including ISNA, in the second wave of rainfall and flooding in Iran, apart from 19 flood victims in the city of Shiraz, one person died in Sarpol-e Zahab, one in Semnan, one in Khuzestan, one in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, two in Lorestan, and five in Golestan province due to flooding or flood-related incidents.
The names on this list indicate that 10 of the flood victims in Shiraz were residents of the city, while 9 others were travelers from other cities in Fars Province or other parts of the country who had traveled to Shiraz.
