Iranian Security Forces Arrest Bahai Citizen in Yazd

An informed source told the Farsi service of Voice of America that security forces in the city of Yazd on Monday, the eighth of Bahman, went to the residence of Farzad Rohani Manshadi, a Bahai citizen residing in Yazd, and arrested him while searching the house and confiscating several personal items, taking him to an unknown location.

The informed source also told Voice of America that Neda Shabani, a Bahai citizen residing in Andisheh Fardis, who was arrested by security forces on the 7th of Azar and transferred to an unknown location, was released on Monday on bail and pending the completion of legal proceedings.

Amnesty International released a report on Thursday of last week regarding the human rights situation in Iran, in which it states that in the past calendar year, 95 Bahai citizens were arrested in Iran.
