Discovery of Dismembered Body of Woman in Khazaneh Neighborhood of Tehran

The dismembered body of a woman was discovered in the Khazaneh neighborhood of Tehran.

News published on social media reports the discovery of a dismembered woman’s body yesterday in the Khazaneh Bakharaeyi neighborhood of Tehran.

According to Hamshahri Online, yesterday a man who was approaching municipal waste bins to dispose of trash encountered a styrofoam cooler that had been left beside a garbage container. After opening the cooler’s lid, he came across the mutilated body of a woman and, in shock, immediately contacted police.

Following the man’s call to police, a criminal investigation team arrived at the scene and determined that the body belonged to a woman approximately 35 to 40 years old, though the time of her death remains unknown. According to police intelligence statements, the victim’s two hands, two feet, and head were found in this package left beside the garbage bin.

Police also stated that the victim was killed in another location and then transferred to the Khazaneh area, as the body did not fit entirely in the cooler. Fingerprinting necessary for victim identification was carried out by police.

Last month, the discovery of a woman’s body in a sports bag near Azadi Square also disturbed public consciousness, and this is the second time in a month that news of a dismembered woman in the Tehran area has been reported.

Poverty, corruption, and moral decay in Iran are among the factors that lead to family disputes and the killing of young women. Women who have been greatly oppressed in Iran and many of whom, following the nationwide protests, have been beaten and tortured by regime forces in pursuit of their rights, and many have been killed.

When will justice prevail for Iranian women? Women who even showed no fear of being killed and did not remain silent, standing firm for the triumph of the revolution and the victory of truth over falsehood.
