Two Kurdish Sunni clerics summoned to Hamadan Special Clergy Court

Two Kurdish Sunni clerics were summoned to the Hamadan Special Clergy Court through a notice.

Since the beginning of the protests, Sunni clerics have delivered speeches against the Islamic Republic in support of the protesting people. Also, since the beginning of this year, at least six Kurdish Sunni clerics have been sentenced to prison terms, suspended sentences, flogging, and removal from their clerical robes by the Hamedan Special Clergy Court for speeches in support of the popular protests.

The identities of the aforementioned Sunni clerics, "Mamosta Hossein Alimoradi," "Mamosta Saber Khodamradi," "Mamosta Arman Sadeghi," "Seyed Jalal Akbari," "Mamosta Madeh Karami," and "Mamosta Abdul Jabbar Lotfi," have been confirmed in the cities of Sanandaj, Saqqez, Dehgolan, and Sarvabad.

Now, "Mamosta Ebrahim Karimi Nanleh", the Friday imam of the "Nanleh" mosque in the village, and "Mamosta Loghman Amini", the Friday imam of the "Chahar Yar Nabi" mosque in Sanandaj city, have been summoned to the Special Court of Clergy in Hamadan.

Ebrahim Karimi and Loghman Amini were arrested by security forces on the Sanandaj-Marivan road in Bahman 1401. After arresting Ebrahim Karimi, the regime forces raided his house and searched it. The two clerics were temporarily released on bail on Esfand 3, 1401.

According to the Kurdistan Human Rights Network, according to the notice issued to these two clerics, they must appear before the Hamadan Special Clergy Court on Wednesday, June 7th.
