Markazi Province: 1,400 cases of child abuse and spousal abuse recorded in forensic medicine in 2019

The Director General of Forensic Medicine of Markazi Province reported 1,400 cases of referral to forensic medicine in 2019 in the areas of child abuse and spousal abuse.

According to HRANA news agency, citing ISNA, the Director General of Forensic Medicine of Markazi Province stated that the total number of referrals in the field of child abuse and spousal abuse last year was 1,400 cases.

Referring to the province's ranking in various accidents, Ali Rezaei stated: "Markazi Province ranked first in traffic accidents in 2019 relative to the province's population, second in child abuse, third in unnatural deaths, fourth in carbon monoxide poisoning, 19th in drowning, and fifth in work accidents nationwide."
