Explosion at the entrance of a kindergarten in China leaves at least 8 dead and 65 injured

An explosion at the entrance to a kindergarten in Jiangsu province in the east of the country on Thursday killed at least eight people, Chinese media reported.
65 people were also reportedly injured in the blast. Chinese police have deemed the blast a criminal act and have identified a suspect in connection with it.
China Central Television says two people died at the scene and six others died in hospital. Nine of the injured are reported to be in critical condition.
The explosion occurred on Thursday afternoon local time, according to police. None of the students or teachers at the kindergarten were injured in the explosion.
