Iranian Vice President for Economic Affairs: We have been smuggling our oil for three years
Mohsen Rezaei has said that "the people of Zagros and Bakhtiari should rise up against America."
The Iranian Vice President for Economic Affairs says: "We have been smuggling oil for more than three years and secretly importing our dollar income into the country."
According to IRNA, Mohsen Rezaei Yadoon, referring to the government's role in continuing economic sanctions, said: "The economic blockade of Iran by the United States must be broken with the efforts of the people."
In his speech in Izeh, he also said: "The Zagros and Bakhtiari people must rise up against America."
The Secretary of the Supreme Council for Economic Coordination of the Heads of State also stated: "Domestic sanctions are more dangerous than foreign sanctions."
The Vice President for Economic Affairs' statements come at a time when senior regime officials have consistently spoken of the ineffectiveness of sanctions and say that they are in no hurry to negotiate to lift them.
