The death rate of children under one year old due to air pollution in Iran is 6 times that of Türkiye.

The head of the Environmental Protection Organization said: "Currently, 73 percent of buses, 60 percent of trucks, 87 percent of minibuses, and 81 percent of motorcycles in the country are scrapped, and each motorcycle produces as much pollution as eight sedans."

He said: "The mortality rate of children under one year old due to air pollution in Iran is six times that of Turkey, and unfortunately, what the buyer does not have is a long-term view of resource conservation and sustainable development."
