Black Box Reading of Ukraine Flight 752 Completed

France’s Bureau of Enquiry and Analysis for Civil Aviation Safety has announced the completion of the black box reading process for the Ukrainian aircraft that was shot down by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps missile system.
On Thursday, the fifth of Mordad, the Twitter page of Iran’s embassy in France confirmed this matter, quoting Bahram Qassemi, Iran’s ambassador to Paris, stating: “A delegation consisting of managers from the Civil Aviation Organization and a number of Iranian specialists who had begun the process of reading and analyzing the retrieved data from the black boxes of the crashed Ukrainian aircraft at France’s Bureau of Enquiry and Analysis for Civil Aviation Safety, today concluded their work after several days of intensive effort.”
Bahram Qassemi said that the black boxes are now in the possession of the Iranian side, and according to international and professional standards, necessary subsequent measures will be taken accordingly.
Iran states that according to international laws, the results of reading the black box data from the aircraft downed by the Revolutionary Guard Corps missile system should be announced by the Islamic Republic itself.
Meanwhile, on Thursday, the Association of Families of Flight 752 Victims, referring to the reading of the Ukrainian aircraft’s black box in France, has called for impartial and comprehensive investigations into “the crime of shooting down this aircraft.”
In a statement, the association noted that families of the victims of this aircraft had requested the presence of their own representative during the black box data reading process, but their request was not approved.
Iran concealed the missile strikes on the Ukrainian aircraft for three days, but following the disclosure of evidence of the strikes by foreign intelligence agencies, Iran confessed to downing the Ukrainian aircraft.
Six months after shooting down Flight 752, which resulted in the deaths of 176 citizens from Iran, Afghanistan, Britain, Canada, and Ukraine, Iran finally delivered the black box for reading to France on Friday, the 27th of Tir. Previously, Iran insisted that the technology for reading black boxes be made available to the Islamic Republic and that the reading process be conducted within the country.
Iranian officials say “human error and the failure to execute mandatory procedures following the relocation of one of the air defense systems” caused the Ukrainian aircraft to be targeted by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps anti-aircraft system. However, the Association of Families of Flight 752 Victims, citing evidence such as “leaving Iran’s airspace open during dangerous war conditions, allowing Ukrainian airline flights to proceed, firing multiple missiles at the aircraft, rapidly destroying the crash scene, and intimidating witnesses and suppressing families,” has emphasized that they are not satisfied with information obtained solely through the black box.
Canadian Foreign Minister François-Philippe Champagne also announced on Monday that he places “little credibility” in Iran’s report on this matter and that this issue “cannot simply be human error.”
