Controversial statements by Science and Industry University student against government spokesman Ali Bahadori Jahromi

A dedicated student at the Science and Industry University, on the occasion of Students’ Day during a question and answer session, challenged Mr. Ali Bahadori Jahromi with controversial remarks.

Mr. Ali Bahadori Jahromi, government spokesman, held a question and answer session at the Science and Industry University on the occasion of Students’ Day. During this event, a student took the podium to get answers to his questions.

This educated student initially announced: do not threaten friends, we have not come here to insult anyone, we are students. He then began his remarks by greeting the 5 thousand toman dollar and 40 percent inflation.

Interestingly, Mr. Bahadori did not understand the young man’s intention in greeting the 5 thousand toman dollar.

He says the routine in this country is that rice goes from 100 thousand tomans to 70 thousand tomans, the inflation issue is similar to this. Inflation decreases from 60 percent to 40 percent and we are also proud of it. Continuing his remarks, this young man says: I want to tell you and the governments that come after you, if any: just do not make promises and slogans. Because it is the duty of every government to be accountable to its people. It is not an honor for the government spokesman to answer students at a university, but it is the government’s duty to be accountable. We, the people, have proven ourselves for 43 years. Now the government and the system that stands against people’s protests with tear gas, in fact insults the people and the martyrs. I am from the educated class of society and a student, this government is obliged to give me a platform and listen to my words. What have you done for the nation so they can speak their minds? Farsi News Agency and the 20:30 program are only against the nation, where do we have to speak our words.

He says: I am from the nation and part of Iran and you cannot separate me from this soil. I am not an enemy deceived, but educated. This educated young man also discusses other problems which can be seen in the video below.

As for many people and students who have seen and heard the remarks of this dedicated student, they fear the arrest and harm that may come to this educated young man. Will the Islamic Republic government listen to his words, or like other protesters, will they arrest him and determine an unknown fate for him?
