Death sentences for two defendants in Shahrchrag Shrine incident case confirmed by Supreme Court

Hrana News Agency – The Supreme Court of Iran has confirmed the death sentences for Mohammad Ramz Rashidi and Seyed Naeim Hashemi Qatali, two defendants in the case known as the “Shahrchrag Shrine incident.” Previously, the chief prosecutor of Fars Province stated that the execution of these individuals would be carried out in public soon.
According to Hrana News Agency citing Mehr news agency, the death sentences of the two defendants in the “Shahrchrag Shrine incident” case have been confirmed by the Supreme Court.
According to the report, the panel of the Supreme Court branch, regarding the appeal petition by defense lawyers of “Mohammad Ramz Rashidi” and “Seyed Naeim Hashemi Qatali” against the verdict issued by the first branch of the Islamic Revolutionary Court of Shiraz, and considering the comprehensive contents of the case file, the report of the Information Office of Fars Province, the statements of the defendants, and the technical documents presented, confirmed the issued verdict.
Earlier, Seyed Kazem Mousavi, the chief prosecutor of Fars Province, announced the issuance of death sentences for two defendants in the case known as the “Shahrchrag Shrine incident” and stated: “Considering that the main suspect in this incident was killed on the night of the occurrence, out of five other defendants in the case, the death sentences for two defendants have been confirmed and will be executed soon on 9 Dey Street.”
He had previously announced the issuance of an indictment for five defendants in connection with the recent “Shahrchrag Shrine incident” in Shiraz, with charges including “armed rebellion against the state, corruption on earth, and sedition.”
According to Mousavi, the court hearing to examine the charges against the defendants in this case, who are all nationals of a neighboring country of Iran, was held in the Revolutionary Courts of Shiraz and Tehran.
