Meanwhile, unemployed workers from Abadan International Transportation Company gathered in front of one of the Labor Ministry offices in western Tehran to protest the non-execution of orders for their reinstatement.
According to ILNA news agency, the employment contracts of these workers were expiring, but since some of them had 7 to 25 years of work experience at the company, the labor dispute resolution committee at the western Tehran labor office rejected the workers’ dismissal and ruled for their reinstatement. According to the workers, the employer has not implemented this ruling.
Concurrently with these gatherings, retirees of Ahvaz Pipe Manufacturing Company also intended to hold a protest in front of the pension fund office in Ahvaz, but security forces prevented the gathering from taking place.
