Destruction of Iranian Revolutionary Guards’ Ammunition and Weapons Warehouses in Homs, Syria

Ammunition and weapons warehouses belonging to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards and Khamenei-affiliated militias in Homs Province, Syria have been destroyed.
Early Saturday morning, April 29, 2023 (9 Ordibehesht 1402), ammunition and weapons warehouses of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards and Khamenei-affiliated militias (Lebanon’s Hezbollah) at the Du’ba military airport in the suburbs of Homs, Syria were destroyed.
According to Reuters, Assad regime air defenses intercepted Israeli strikes over Homs Province, resulting in casualties and material damage, though the Israeli army has refrained from commenting on the matter.
As a result of this destruction, due to ammunition stockpiled in the warehouses, massive explosions were heard and widespread fires were observed at the site. No information about casualties has been available so far. It is worth noting that this is the second time this month that the Du’ba airport has been targeted.
On April 2 of this year, Israeli missiles targeted military bases of the Islamic Republic forces and Iranian militias in Homs (a location housing weapons warehouses belonging to Hezbollah militias). Also, according to Syrian state media, Syrian air defenses intercepted Israeli strikes over Homs yesterday, which resulted in 6 soldiers being wounded and material damage.
