Deaths in the Nationwide Protests of 1401 to Date

The list of individuals confirmed by reliable sources to have been killed by the Islamic Republic’s security forces during protests through 10 Aban 1401 has reached at least 277 people, including 40 children and 24 women across Iran.

The highest number of deaths belong to the provinces of Sistan and Baluchestan, Mazandaran, Kurdistan, Gilan, and West Azerbaijan.

In other cities such as: Kermanshah, Tehran, Alborz, Arak, Razavi Khorasan, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Isfahan, Zanjan, Qazvin, East Azerbaijan, Ilam, Bushehr, and Semnan, there are also many casualties whose names cannot be listed due to their increasing numbers.

Not only is the number of those killed during the protests very large, but a number of people have also been abducted by security forces, and unfortunately no information is yet available about their detention locations.

The Islamic Republic’s repressive forces have ruthlessly attacked the lives, property, and honor of the Iranian people and without the slightest fear have taken their lives. In some cases, they have even taken their bodies and labeled them as rioters who needed to be suppressed. However, during this period, some security personnel have also been killed by the people, and the government refers to its fallen forces in suppressing the protests as “security defenders.” What difference is there between ordinary people and security forces? Is it not the case that all are human beings and none has superiority over another?

Yet despite these deaths that occur daily during the protests, people continue on their path. Each day the unity among them grows stronger and new calls for nationwide uprising are announced. The Iranian people have declared that the Islamic Republic government created division among all Iranian ethnicities and caused their division, but now we have realized that we are indivisible and on the contrary we are united with one another. We will continue this unity and take back Iran, even if you take our lives every day we will still come to the streets. We will fight once and for all so that the generations after us can reach the freedom that is their right.
