Donald Trump Becomes 45th Elected President of the United States

Donald Trump, the Republican Party’s nominee in the US presidential election, declared his victory.
Donald Trump and Mike Pence appeared before supporters along with their families at 3 a.m. on Wednesday, November 19th, and announced their election victory. Mr. Trump stated at the beginning of his speech that Hillary Clinton had called him and congratulated him on his election win.
Mr. Trump succeeded in securing the votes of key and decisive states such as Ohio, Florida, and Pennsylvania in this election.
Typically, the new US president takes the oath of office around mid-January in Washington, D.C., and moves into the White House with his family.
According to American tradition, once the election results are clear, the losing candidate accepts defeat and congratulates the opposing side. However, John Podesta, Clinton’s campaign chairman, appeared before her supporters and asked people to return to their homes, saying that Ms. Clinton would not speak that evening.
Donald Trump had previously expressed concerns about fraud occurring in the voting process, and on Tuesday morning when voting in Manhattan, New York, he said regarding the possibility of unfavorable election results: “We’ll have to see what happens.” He had previously stated that he would only accept the results if he won.
Trump was born in New York and his father sent him to military school at age 13. Donald Trump earned his bachelor’s degree in economics and in 1971 took over his wealthy father’s construction company.
His inexperience in politics, his offensive remarks about women, and the ambiguity surrounding his tax record became targets of criticism from his Democratic rival during the election campaign.
