Flames of Iran-Israel War Flare Up Again

A tense atmosphere, mutual threats, and preparations for a new confrontation signal the resurgence of the Iran-Israel war fire.

More than a month after the end of the 12-day military conflict between Iran and Israel, concerning signs of a potential second round of this battle are emerging. From Tel Aviv to Tehran, reports of military movements, harsh stances, and expanded intelligence activities are circulating. Many analysts believe that if this trend continues, a renewed military confrontation between the two countries is no longer a far-fetched possibility.

In this context, the France 24 network released an analytical report on the hidden dimensions of damage inflicted on Israel during this war. Despite media restrictions in Israel, the report revealed the identification of 36 impact points of Iranian missiles on Israeli soil, a detail that had not been confirmed by Israeli officials so far.

Simultaneously, a senior Israeli military official told the French publication “L’Express”: “Iranian missiles hit only hundreds of meters beyond my office in one case. These attacks showed that if Iran becomes a permanent threat, we must act before we become victims.”

According to some analysts, such statements from Israeli officials are a sign of Tel Aviv’s intent to prepare a preemptive strike. The Israeli Prime Minister’s advisors have explicitly stated that refraining from an attack would amount to “political and military suicide” for their country.

Meanwhile, the Islamic Republic’s officials have not been idle either. Iran, following the end of the recent war, has repeatedly threatened to resume uranium enrichment, and a senior Foreign Ministry official announced that attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities constitute “a clear violation of international law” and will not go unanswered.

On the other hand, U.S. President Donald Trump stated in his latest remarks that his actions have prevented a widespread war in the Middle East. He warned that any resumption of nuclear activities by Tehran would face an immediate response from Washington.

Also, based on Pentagon analysis, Israeli and American attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities have set back the country’s nuclear program by several months. However, this delay has prompted hardline factions in Israel to call for “completing the strike” and accelerating decision-making for the next action.

Iran’s missile capability has also become a major concern in Tel Aviv. Despite the “Iron Dome” defense system’s success in intercepting about 90 percent of the missiles, what has penetrated the system has caused considerable damage. An Israeli military official claimed that Iran fired over 500 ballistic missiles at Israel during this short war and had plans to fire thousands of additional missiles.

Meanwhile, a wave of mysterious explosions in Iran has severely affected the security situation in the country. Official authorities have refrained from explaining the cause of these explosions, but some Iranian sources have raised the possibility of “direct Israeli involvement” in these incidents.

Concurrently with these developments, the Mossad chief confirmed in an unprecedented statement the presence of Israeli intelligence forces on Iranian soil and announced that this presence will continue.

The Islamic Republic’s response to these actions has been extensive security purges within the country. An action that has led to mass arrests, rapid trials, and a significant increase in executions. While Netanyahu announced he would wait 60 days to assess the situation, the region’s atmosphere is dangerously moving toward another full-scale confrontation. Field evidence, statements from both sides’ officials, and the continuation of underlying tensions suggest that the fire beneath the ashes could ignite at any moment.
