“Freedom for Iran” Saturday Worldwide; Reza Pahlavi Calls for Unity of All Iranians

As 120 cities around the world prepare to hold major protest rallies against the Islamic Republic on Saturday, the 9th of Mehr, Reza Pahlavi, son of Iran’s former shah, has called on Iranians abroad to unite for Iran’s freedom.
A major protest rally by Iranians abroad, initiated by the Association of Families of PS752 Flight Victims, is scheduled to take place at 2 p.m. local time on Saturday, the 9th of Mehr (October 1st), in more than 120 cities large and small around the world.
Hamed Esmailian, spokesman for the Association of Families of PS752 Flight Victims, has widely distributed posters of the “Freedom for Iran March” with the slogan “It’s Time” on social media and provided details about how these rallies will be organized.
Beyond Canada, which has so far hosted the largest protest rallies against the Islamic Republic and the suppression of protesters, numerous marches supporting protesters have been held in many parts of the world over the past two weeks, from London to Ecuador and from Istanbul to Oslo.
Meanwhile, Reza Pahlavi, Iran’s last heir apparent, has issued a video message calling on Iranians abroad to come to the scene “not only with hearts and words, but in action.”
In this video, Reza Pahlavi has called on Iranians abroad to subtitle and share images and videos of protests in the language of the country where they reside, and to contact media outlets and officials in their host countries to inform them of the Iranian people’s desire for freedom and democracy and to support popular protests.
In continuing his message, Iran’s last heir apparent has also called on Iranians in different countries around the world to “expose the agents and defenders of the regime abroad while respecting the law and employing factual and truthful methods, and not allow false narratives by regime defenders to become the dominant narrative about Iran.”
He has also called for financial support for protesters, political prisoners, and families of those killed in the protests, and has asked lawyers and social workers to help the families of those killed and political prisoners.
Reza Pahlavi has further called on Iranian artists to use their art as the voice of the Iranian people and play a role in organizing rallies, and has invited all reference groups and trusted figures in the Iranian diaspora community to come to the scene regardless of their political beliefs to save Iran.
