Genital Mutilation of ‘Alireza Saraji-Noudz,’ Seminary Student in Astara, by Unknown Individuals

‘Alireza Saraji-Noudz,’ a seminary student in the city of Astara, was attacked by unknown individuals, following which his genitals were severed.

According to the Fars News Agency, over 10 clergy members have been subjected to verbal and physical assault over the past week. These assaults have been carried out in reaction to the regime’s strict enforcement of mandatory hijab. Non-compliance with the hijab, which according to clergy and regime officials provokes men, is cited as the cause.

Last Wednesday night, on the 13th of Ordibehesht (May 3rd), around 11 PM, Alireza Saraji-Noudz, a seminary student in Astara and virtual activist, was returning to his home when he was attacked and assaulted by 4 unknown individuals in one of the city’s alleys. Ultimately, they severed his genitals and also took his mobile phone with them. Alireza Saraji is now hospitalized.

Those who have witnessed attacks and assaults on seminary students believe that the only healthy way to preserve society is to castrate those who become aroused by seeing women’s hair, as they are not normal and we will not allow the women of our country, who are our honor, to fall into the hands of such individuals.

Normal men are not provoked by seeing women’s hair, especially after the uprising of the popular revolution when most Iranian women appear in streets and public places without mandatory hijab. Not only are they not aroused, but they stand against the enforcers of religious commands who harass and mistreat unveiled women, and they confront them.

The honor and culture of Iranian men is too great to be aroused by seeing women’s hair, and this issue is merely something that clergy and regime officials have imposed upon the people.
