Islamic Republic Seeks to Train Hamas Forces in Weapons Manufacturing

A computer belonging to a Hamas member shows that the Islamic Republic has been seeking to train Hamas forces in weapons manufacturing.

According to CNN news network, on Wednesday, November 15 (Aban 24), documents were discovered from a computer in a vehicle belonging to a Hamas operative outside Gaza, showing that a Hamas military commander corresponded with Islamic Republic officials to request training for Hamas operatives in Iran.

Israeli officials and some former U.S. intelligence officials announced after these documents were revealed: “These documents show the Islamic Republic’s involvement in initiating Hamas’s attack on Israel on October 7, by providing technical training to Hamas operatives for the production of their required weapons.”

An Israeli official also stated in this regard: “This is another piece of a detailed puzzle of the depth of support, financing, and training of proxy terror forces by the Iranian regime around the world, especially in the Gaza Strip.”

The revealed document shows that one of Hamas’s military commanders, in correspondence with Islamic Republic officials in Mordad of the current year, requested that seven Hamas members receive training at Iran’s expense in the fields of engineering, physics, and technology at Iranian state universities.

According to “Jonathan Panikoff,” former senior intelligence analyst and regional expert, the Islamic Republic’s educational program shows that the Iranian regime wants Hamas and other proxy groups to increase their military capabilities and break free from complete dependence on Tehran.

An Israeli official also stated in an interview with CNN that the Islamic Republic had previously provided training to Hamas fighters in the field of explosives engineering under the cover of university programs. Additionally, current and former U.S. officials told CNN that this program is part of a regular educational program that the Islamic Republic provides to allied countries and its proxy groups to expand its influence in the region.
