Avigdor Lieberman: “Israel Will Also Join in Supporting the Iranian People”

“Avigdor Lieberman” in support of Trump’s stance on Iranian protesters emphasized: “If America takes action, Israel will also join this support.”

Avigdor Lieberman, former Israeli Defense Minister and a stern critic of Benjamin Netanyahu, in response to recent statements by U.S. President Donald Trump regarding widespread protests in Iran, sent a powerful political and moral message during Iran’s crisis while also taking an important political stance.

Lieberman stated on his social media account on the X network, while referring to Trump’s remarks: “I am confident that in such circumstances, Israel will also join this action.”

These statements have been made amid widespread protests in Iran; protests that began following an economic crisis with an unprecedented collapse in the value of the rial and sharp increases in living costs, and have become one of the most important political challenges in the country in recent years.

Lieberman added in his message: “Such a joint stance between Washington and Tel Aviv is more than a tactical response and demonstrates a deep understanding of the reality that Iran’s internal crises are no longer merely a national issue, but have become a focal point for global security.”

Political analysts say this alignment between two close allies has considerable strategic, security, and moral importance, as it sends a clear message to the Iranian people and the global community, meaning they are not alone and the international community, especially democratic powers and regional allies, are ready to take responsibility for protecting the lives of protesting people if violence escalates.

These remarks by Lieberman are also within the framework of warnings and contradictory reactions by Islamic Republic officials; Iranian officials have also warned that any foreign interference in Iran’s internal affairs could cause greater instability throughout the entire region and have declared it a red line.
