Male pharmacy employees wearing headscarves in protest against mandatory hijab

A number of male pharmacy employees wore headscarves while working in protest and response to women’s resistance against mandatory hijab, or Islamic dress code.
Recently, a video was shared on social media from a pharmacy in which a government supporter verbally admonished a pharmacist who was working without a hijab, telling her to observe her hijab. The pharmacist, staff members, and others present at the pharmacy responded to the man’s admonition and removed him from the premises. The man who made the remark recorded a video and threatened the pharmacist that he would report her.
The pharmacy was quickly identified by government officials and subsequently faced a fine and closure. Many doctors, people, and pharmacy employees reacted to this incident.
The reaction of male employees at some pharmacies to this news has been that they wore headscarves while working as a protest against mandatory hijab, sending a message through this action opposing discrimination between women and men.

Through this action, they showed that the era of discrimination between men and women is over, and now men are not only standing against women but standing beside them to show that all are united and one.
Many social media users, upon witnessing this humanitarian act by men, stated: These cloths, or so-called headscarves and scarves that are forcibly placed on women’s heads, are just as ridiculous when placed on men’s heads. Salute to your honor, men, for standing beside women this way and showing that all are united and together.
Not only are men protesting mandatory hijab, which was the reason the revolutionary uprising began, but young schoolgirls have also raised their voices of protest with the slogan “Woman, Life, Freedom.”
The chain of solidarity woven between women and men should not be broken; rather, it must be strengthened so they can use it to encircle and topple the Islamic Republic regime.
