‘NetBlocks’ Reports Severe Internet Disruption in Zahedan

‘NetBlocks,’ which monitors internet access restrictions worldwide, reported a severe disruption in the internet network in Zahedan.
Every Friday after Friday prayers in Zahedan, people take to the streets in protest against injustice and crimes of the Islamic Republic regime. Zahedan has experienced the highest number of deaths, assaults, repression, and arrests, yet its people continue to courageously remain in the streets to achieve victory.
Baloch freedom advocates at today’s Friday prayer ceremony on 11 Farvardin at Zahedan’s prayer ground, holding placards, demanded the freedom of Sunni religious scholars and the end of Vahid Beheshti’s hunger strike. They also declared that the detention of Mullah ‘Murad Zahi’ is unjust and this detention must be ended.

However, the Islamic Republic government, out of fear of the Baloch freedom advocates’ uprising that takes place weekly during Friday prayers, has deliberately disrupted the internet system in Zahedan so that people cannot use the internet to broadcast protests and security forces’ conduct through media.
‘NetBlocks,’ which monitors internet access restrictions worldwide, has also confirmed the severe internet disruption in Zahedan. The company wrote: ‘Network data indicates a significant disruption in internet connectivity in Zahedan. This event continues the pattern of network shutdowns that have targeted public protests during Friday prayers.’
