November: At Least ‘103 Cases’ of Human Rights Violations Reported in Kurdistan Province

The human rights website “Hengaw” reported on Monday, December 1st, on at least “103 cases” of human rights violations in Kurdistan Province during the month of November and announced that at least “four prisoners” were killed in prisons during this period.
According to the website’s report, these prisoners died in the prisons of Urmia and Sanandaj.
“Hengaw” also reported that 10 porters and border traders were targeted by the Islamic Republic’s border guards in November, stating that “four” of these individuals lost their lives.
Based on the same report, six people were also victims of mine explosions in the cities of Sardasht, Mehran, Qasr-e Shirin, and Baneh, with one of them losing his life and five others being wounded.
More than 64 Kurdish citizens were arrested in various cities on political charges, and five Kurdish activists were sentenced to a total of 15 years and 9 months imprisonment as well as 60 lashes for their political and civil activities.
The “Hengaw” report adds that during this period, 9 workers from the cities of Piranshahr, Qorveh, Miandoab, Sanandaj, and Paveh lost their lives while working due to occupational accidents.
