Palestine Supporters Attack Iranian-British Citizen

British newspaper “Daily Mail” reported on an attack by Palestine supporters against an Iranian-British citizen.

According to the British newspaper “Daily Mail”, on Saturday a group of pro-Palestinian protesters attacked an Iranian-British citizen during a protest rally in London.

37-year-old Niak Ghorbani, an Iranian-British citizen, was present at the aforementioned rally holding a placard that read: “Do you agree that Hamas is a terrorist organization? Yes or Yes?” In response to Niak Ghorbani’s action, protesters threw water bottles, sticks, stones, dirt and other objects at him.

Niak Ghorbani told the Daily Mail: “By allowing Hamas supporters to attack peaceful protesters, the police is putting Britain in serious danger. My reason for protesting was that the people of Iran have been suffering from Hamas and other similar terrorist groups for years. If measures are not taken to prevent them, fear of expressing opinions will prevail over the future of the British people.”

A spokesperson for the London police also stated: “Although the content of Mr. Ghorbani’s placard correctly reflects the official position of the British government regarding Hamas (under British law, Hamas is a terrorist organization), since the police’s priority is to de-escalate tensions and keep everyone safe, after 10 minutes we requested that this Iranian-British citizen remove himself from the protest site using minimal force.”

Opponents of the Islamic Republic have repeatedly expressed their opposition to the interventionist policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s regime by participating in protest rallies in recent years with the slogan “Neither Gaza, nor Lebanon, my life for Iran”, saying that Iran’s national wealth should be spent on solving serious economic, environmental and infrastructure crises in Iran instead of being wasted on dangerous adventures.
