Prince Reza Pahlavi: On this Passover, I send my best wishes to the people

Prince Reza Pahlavi said on the occasion of Passover: “On this Passover, I send my best wishes to those who hold it dear.”
Prince Reza Pahlavi, on Sunday, April 13, coinciding with the beginning of Holy Week, while greeting Palm Sunday to the Christian and Jewish communities, referred to their situation in Iran and called for religious freedom in Iran.
Palm Sunday is one of the holy days of Passover, which marks the beginning of Holy Week and comes before Easter. This holiday symbolizes the entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem, which is mentioned in all the Gospels. The reason it is named Palm Sunday is that when Jesus Christ entered Jerusalem, people came to meet him with palm branches. Jesus made his triumphant entry into the city riding a donkey, which symbolizes peace, instead of a horse, which was a symbol of kings. In many churches, this celebration is held by lining the path with palm leaves as a symbol of Jesus’s path into Jerusalem.
Prince Pahlavi also released a greeting message on the occasion of this holy day on the social network X, saying: “On this Passover and Palm Sunday, I send my best wishes to all those who hold these holy days dear. I especially remember the Christian and Jewish communities of Iran, who have long faced suppression. When this regime is gone, religious freedom will finally return to our country.”
The Prince has repeatedly, through various messages, referred to the situation of minorities in Iran and emphasized that religion should be separated from government and all citizens, regardless of religion, ethnicity, and gender, should have equal rights.
