Solidarity of Iranian People to Aid Khoy Earthquake Victims

People from various Iranian cities united to provide aid to the earthquake-stricken people of Khoy.
Following the Khoy earthquake, whose victims live in extremely dire conditions and received no assistance from the government or the Red Crescent, many people have stepped forward to help them and announced calls for collecting aid.
Karim Bagheri, a popular footballer, undertook to collect funds to help the people of Khoy so they could provide basic necessities to the earthquake victims, but unfortunately his account was blocked.
Ali Daei also, after hearing the message from Khoy residents who said “unless Ali Daei helps us again,” began his efforts to assist the earthquake-stricken people.
Ali Karimi also announced in a tweet: “Imagine it is Arbaeen and Khoy is Karbala. Establish service stations. Cook free food and provide free transportation. You can do many things; you just need to imagine that Khoy is Karbala.”
People from the cities of Urmia and Kurdistan united to collect financial aid and essential supplies. The people of Sarpolzahab in Kurdistan, by raising their voices, gathered people to collect aid for Khoy. Today is a day of honor and courage.
People who made efforts to help the people of Khoy said: As long as such solidarity and compassion exist between the Turkish and Kurdish peoples, the Islamic Republic will take its dream of sowing discord to the grave.
After popular aid from the cities of Urmia, Salmas, and Solduz entered Khoy, government officials have prevented the distribution of popular aid and do not allow entry. It seems they deliberately caused this earthquake to destroy Khoy and massacre its people so they could direct public attention towards helping Khoy and extinguish the fire of revolutionary uprising.

According to the statements of the Iranian people, the city of Khoy has a population of 200,000, and according to government statistics, a thousand houses in Khoy have been destroyed. This means you should provide shelter, heating supplies, and food for 4 to 5 thousand people. We, the people of Iran, know that you can do these things but you are doing nothing. But let us assume you don’t have the capacity to help, you who don’t have the ability to care for 5,000 earthquake victims, how can you govern this nation of 85 million people? So it is better for you to pack your belongings and leave so that we, the people, can help each other.
