Two Men Arrested on Charges of Murdering Their Wives in Ilam and Kermanshah
Two men in Ilam and Kermanshah, accused of killing their wives, have been arrested.
According to HRANA news agency citing IRNA, a man in one of the neighborhoods of Ilam city, accused of murdering his wife, has been arrested.
The police commander of Sarpol-Zahab stated in this regard: “Following the identification and arrest of a border smuggler with the identity (M-R) from Ilam at the zero border point between Qapay in Dasht-Zahab district by the brave men of the 116th Regiment of Qazvin stationed in the Sarpol-Zahab area, the suspect was transferred to the police awareness department of the city after filing a case”.
Colonel Manouchehr Rezaei added: “The suspect, during interrogation and investigation, stated that the reason for his presence in the city was fleeing and crossing the border to travel to Iraq. He confessed that in recent days, motivated by family disputes, he killed his wife with the identity (Z-R) in Ilam city on Esteghlal Street with a cold weapon (knife), and then went into hiding”.
Based on this report, the suspect was handed over to officials sent from Ilam province to pursue legal proceedings and continue the judicial process.
In another report citing Fars, the special prosecutor for murder in Sanandaj and Kamiaran announced the arrest of a man accused of murdering his wife due to family disputes.
Bani Amerian stated in this regard: “During the killing of a young woman by her husband in one of the villages of Sanandaj and Kamiaran county, which occurred at 5 a.m. today, I personally attended the scene and investigated the dimensions of the incident. After the investigations were conducted and the perpetrator was identified, a judicial order was issued for the identification and arrest of the accused person, placing it on the police’s agenda”.
He added: “The suspect was arrested in less than an hour and handed over to judicial authorities to pursue legal proceedings”.
The special murder prosecutor of the county continued: “The suspect killed his wife with blows from a hard object, and the main reason for the murder was family disputes”.
