Official coronavirus statistics in Iran; The number of victims has exceeded 15,000, 25 provinces are in red and alert status

The spokesman for the Iranian Ministry of Health announced on Thursday, August 21, that the number of coronavirus victims in the country in the past 24 hours was 221, bringing the death toll to 15,074.
Sima Sadat Lari also announced the identification of 2,621 more people infected with the coronavirus, of whom, according to her, "2,04 people" have been hospitalized in regular and special wards in hospitals across the country.
A spokesman for the Iranian Ministry of Health says that 3,607 of the infected people are "hospitalized in intensive care units."
He added that 25 provinces of the country are currently in "red and alert status," and in the provinces of Fars and Khorasan Razavi, the number of hospitalizations in the past 24 hours has "doubled" compared to previous days.
The official statistics of the Iranian Ministry of Health have been met with serious doubts by experts and even some representatives, who have stated that the reason for this is "concealment" by officials and the low level of coronavirus testing in the country.
