The possibility of a complete halt to the JCPOA revival talks has increased.

A day after the release of "secret documents" on the Islamic Republic of Iran's nuclear program by the Israeli Prime Minister, and simultaneously with the release of news of the drafting of a "resolution by the United States and three European countries" in the Board of Governors, media outlets close to the Iranian government have spoken of the "need to review" cooperation with the "Agency."

In its Wednesday, June 11th issue, the Tehran-based newspaper "Kayhan" called on the Islamic Republic's diplomatic apparatus to be vigilant about what the newspaper called "Western entrapment," and to focus on "highlighting Iran's sincere cooperation with the Agency."

The media outlet, which is run under the direct supervision of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Republic, has called for the "discrediting" of the reports that the newspaper claims are "fake," referring to a new report by the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, and has said that cooperation with the agency, whose reports are supposed to be the "subject of decisions" by the Board of Governors, should be "revised."

In a report published on June 1 by the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi announced that Iran's "enriched uranium reserves" have reached more than "18 times the permitted limit" agreed upon in the JCPOA nuclear treaty.

At the same time, Reuters reported on a "draft resolution by the United States and three European countries" in the International Atomic Energy Agency's Board of Governors condemning some of the Islamic Republic's nuclear activities, in which "deep concern" was expressed about the "failure to resolve" the issue of "uranium particles found" at three undeclared sites.

According to the report, the draft resolution by the US and three European countries says that these safeguards issues remain “unresolved” “due to Iran’s systematic insufficient cooperation” and calls on the Islamic Republic to “immediately” accept the Agency’s proposal for “further engagement” to resolve “all remaining safeguards issues.”

In this regard, Ali Bahadori Jahromi, spokesman for the 13th government of the Islamic Republic, said today, Wednesday, June 11, regarding the "JCPOA negotiations," that the negotiations are "on track," "have not stopped," and that Iran has shown its "seriousness and goodwill" and is continuing.

The spokesman for the Islamic Republic's Ministry of Foreign Affairs also stated yesterday, in response to a question about whether the Vienna talks had reached a deadlock: "Our actions are clear in the Vienna talks and negotiations."

Saeed Khatibzadeh stated that the Islamic Republic is important for the messages that are "going back and forth" through the "traditional channels" between Tehran and Washington, adding: "But unfortunately, America has not given the necessary answers."

The spokesperson for the Islamic Republic's Ministry of Foreign Affairs referred to the "traditional channel" between Iran and the United States in a speech on June 10 by Russia's representative to international organizations in Vienna and the country's chief negotiator in the Vienna talks, who also represents the Islamic Republic in some sessions of these talks.

Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia's representative in the JCPOA revival talks, wrote on his Twitter account that the Vienna talks on the revival of the JCPOA nuclear deal "have been on hold since March 10th," citing "media reports" that Iran had shown "some flexibility" during the visit to Tehran by Enrique Moura, the EU coordinator for the talks, and was now "awaiting a response from the United States."

Meanwhile, Ned Price, spokesman for the US State Department, also said on June 10, regarding the Iranian Foreign Ministry's claim that "the United States has not yet responded to Iran's new proposal," adding: "Iran's demands beyond the JCPOA have hampered the negotiations, and if Tehran changes its mind, Washington and its European allies are ready to immediately end the negotiations."

These developments are occurring in a situation where the publication of "secret documents" from the Ministry of Intelligence and the Ministry of Defense of the Islamic Republic related to some of the Islamic Republic's secret nuclear programs by Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett on his Twitter account has also led to widespread reactions.
