The "People's Campaign to Save Nima Yushij's House" rally will be held today.

The "Popular Movement to Save Nima Youshij's House" is gathering today, on the 59th anniversary of the death of the father of modern Iranian poetry, in front of Nima Youshij's house in the Dezashib neighborhood of Tehran, to draw the attention of the authorities to address the situation of this house.
Previously, Mohammad Hassan Talebian, Deputy Minister of Cultural Heritage, was tasked with investigating the situation of the Nimayoshij House in Tehran following the publication of news that the house of the "Father of Modern Persian Poetry" had been removed from the list of national monuments by the Administrative Court of Justice. However, after about a year of this incident, there has been no change in the situation of this house.
On November 5, 2017, the Administrative Court of Justice removed the Nima Yoshij House from the list of national monuments, relying on Islamic law, because the new owners of the house had complained to the court and said that the Nima House did not belong to them and therefore could not be considered a national monument.
This was while the Cultural Heritage Organization, by presenting documents, announced that the house belonged to Nimayoshij, although the deed for the house was not in his name, but the Administrative Court of Justice did not recognize these documents.
Recently, a member of the Tehran City Council said: "The municipality is trying to buy Nima Youshij's house at the real price, but the owner is not getting along with the municipality. Last year, when currency fluctuations had not yet occurred, the owner put a price of 12 billion tomans for this house."
On the other hand, Valiollah Shojapourian, deputy director of social and cultural affairs for Tehran Municipality, told ILNA news agency: "A credit of four billion and 500 million tomans has been earmarked for the purchase of this historical monument."
The house of the great Iranian poet is located in the north of Tehran, a few meters from the house of “Simin Daneshvar and Jalal Al-Ahmad.” This house has an area of about 688 square meters and a substructure of 180 square meters.
Delavar Bozorgnia, Director of the General Department of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism of Tehran Province, has also announced that in a conversation with the Director General of the Cultural Spaces Development Company, the Municipality of District One was given the order to purchase the property, and after the purchase of the property, the discussion of its exploitation and use by this company is scheduled to be finalized. However, as to why the Cultural Heritage Organization is not taking action, Bozorgnia says: "Cultural Heritage has financial limitations for purchasing this property and cannot buy Nima's house."
Mehdi Rafizadeh, Deputy Minister of Urban Planning and Development, also said about the plans to purchase Nima Youshij's house: "We do not have a budget line to purchase this house, but Pirouz Hanachi, the mayor of Tehran, is determined to do this, and if this is done, we are prepared to turn this house into a museum. Of course, this will be done after restoration and renovation."
"Popular Movement to Save Nima Youshij's House" In a situation where the fate of Nima Youshij's house is in a state of uncertainty, on the 59th anniversary of the death of the father of modern Iranian poetry, a gathering is planned in front of Nima's house to convey concerns about the uncertain condition of the house to the authorities.
