In the fourth week of labor strikes, 105,000 Iranian workers issued a new statement

The strike of thousands of Iranian oil, gas, and petrochemical contractor and project workers entered its fourth week on Sunday, July 10th.
The strike began on June 19, and according to reports, workers from more than 100 companies in 12 provinces have so far stopped working in protest of their living conditions and the fulfillment of their demands.
Meanwhile, it is reported that 105,000 oil contractor and company workers have launched a campaign in cyberspace, calling for the elimination of contractors and intermediary companies.
According to the ILNA news agency, the workers' statement stated that the workers working in state-owned companies affiliated with the Ministry of Oil are demanding that the contracting companies supplying power to government agencies be eliminated by changing their contract status.
The Ministry of Oil's contractor and corporate workers have also in the past protested "discrimination and disparity" in receiving wages and benefits compared to other employees.
Contract and project workers are demanding increased wages and vacation time, the elimination of contract companies, the return of laid-off workers to work, compliance with health standards in workplaces, dormitories, and health services, improved occupational safety principles, and recognition of the right to organize and assemble.
Iranian workers' strikes have so far received widespread domestic and international support.
